Dr Stamen Grigorov Foundation - aims and tasks


  Dr Stamen Grigorov Foundation is a non-profit organization with specific tasks and was established under initiative of and will of Dr Stamen Grigorov relatives and family.
  The Foundation is an independent non-political non-governmental organization registered according to Bulgarian legislation in 2001.
  The Foundation is maintained and functioning on the base of volunteer and democratic principles. To achieve its main aims it collaborates with other sister and similar formations, different governmental and industrial organizations as well as interested physical and juridical bodies in the country and abroad.
The Foundation aims at:
  To support and collaborate the work with scientists and artists;
  To constitute a scholarship by the name of Dr Stamen Grigorov to support gifted and talented representatives of the science and art according rules and criteria accepted by the Leading council of the Foundation;
To advertise the work of Dr Stamen Grigorov and his discoveries in the field of microbiology;
To organize and assure financially the creative basis in the village Studen Izvor near the house of Dr Stamen Grigorov;
To assist the relatives of Dr Stamen Grigorov;
  To deal with the donations, subsidies, heritages, inheritance, testaments as well as all other rights and belongings given to the Foundation in order to create a fund to be at Foundation's aims disposal.
The aims of the Foundation are achieved by:
Sponsorship of scientific projects, developments, publications, research work and any other activities related to arts' development using the fund of the Foundation as well as attracted by similar Bulgarian and international organizations;
Organization and realisation of courses, consultations, plenaries, symposiums, conferences; organization and realization of specific scientific forums, exhibitions, musical and literature days, etc.;
  Creation of artistic works reflecting the life and work of Dr Stamen Grigorov;
  Award on behalf of Dr Stamen Grigorov mane for high achievements in the field of science and art;
  Collaboration with other organizations and physical and juridical bodies that agree and accept the aims of the Foundation.


  For ten years now the main activities of the Foundation have been related to the art. Plenaries of fine art and ceramics/pottery are organized each year as well as general and author's artistic exhibitions are organized, catalogues are printed along with other advertising materials related to artists' works. This activity the Foundation realizes in collaboration with other non-profit organizations, the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) as wel as with Trun Municipality on which territories the ceramics plenaries have been realized.
